Tutorial-How To Use a Sega Emulator

Do you miss those old Sega games? Well you can still enjoy them on your computer.
Afraid emulators are far too advanced for you? They are quite easy, check out our tutorial to learn how to use them?

Step One: Open up your emulator. Make sure your emulator is unzipped.

For this example I am going to use Gens. For the most part all emulators pretty much work the same way. If there is no tabs in your specific emulator you can, more than likely, pull up the menu by right clicking on the opened program.

Step Two: The program will open. Click on the File tab.

Step Three: Select Load Game or Open Rom (Depending on your emulator)

Step Four: Go to the folder where you are storing your Sega games (make sure they are also unzipped) and select the game you want to play. In this example I am using Toejam and Earl.

Step Five: When you select the game (if it is an Sega game and unzipped) it will start up! Success, if you do not want to change the controls you are done. If you want to change the controls continue with the tutorial. .

Step Six: Select the Options tab and hit Joypads

Step Seven: On this screen you may change the controls. When you are finished click OK and continue with your game.
