Tutorials-Windows 7-Gadgets

Step One: Right click on the desktop background. When the menu appears select Gadgets.  

Step Two: The gadget menu will open. You will find all your installed gadgets here. 

Step Three: Double Click on the gadget you want to appear. It will now appear on the desktop.

Step Four: To customize the options of the gadget Right Click on the gadget (already on the desktop) and select Options. 

Step Five: Now the options screen will appear. For the weather gadget you will need to type in your area code, search it and select ok. Some gadgets will not have any options available for you to customize 

Step Six: If you want more gadgets you can download them from Microsoft's website. Click on the "Get More Gadgets Online" link at the bottom right hand side of the gadget menu.

Step Seven: Microsoft's Gadget webpage will now open. When you find a gadget you want select the Get Now link under the gadget.

Step Eight: This link will bring you to the information page of the gadget. On the right hand side of the screen there will be a Download button. Select it if you would like to download this gadget.

Step Nine: Now select the Save button and indicate where you want the gadget to save on your hard drive.

Step Ten: When the gadget if finished downloading click the Install button to have the gadget added to your desktop. 

Step Eleven: The gadget will now be available on your desktop and in the gadget menu.
