Step One: Click to open AVG Anti-Spyware 

Step Two: When the program comes up it will look like this screen shot. Click Update Now to update your protection.

Step Three: Press Update. The second screenshot is what AVG will look like as it updates.  If your AVG is up to date proceed to Step Four.

Step Four: Click on Computer Scanner to begin a scan.

Step Five: Click on Change scan settings.

Step Six: Click Start scan to begin your scan. The second screenshot is what AVG looks like as it scans you computer.

Step Seven: Once the scan is complete delete all the items the scan found and you are finished.
