Frequently Asked Questions-Games

Q: Will defragging my computer improve my video game's performance?

A: Yes. When you defrag your computer you organize the files in a way that allows the computer to be able to access them in a more efficient and speedy way. This will improve the performance of your games.

Q: What does virtual memory low mean?

A: There are usually two reasons why you get this error.
#1. You do not have enough RAM to support your computer anymore.
     #2. You have a program/application with a memory leak.

Now if you do not know which of the two categories your computer fits into I strongly suggest bringing the computer in for have it diagnosed. Here at RPC Computers we have free estimates, so you will know how much a repair will cost and how long it will take. RPC Computer's Contact Information

Q: Do you sell video games?

A: No, we here at RPC Computers do not sell video games. Our software package does come with 4 video game programs, but is only available to people who purchase computers from us. If you are having trouble finding video games the internet is always a good place to look (but try not to buy used PC games, since many games need serial numbers to work) I find Wal-Mart has a surprisingly good amount of PC games; as does Target. If you are not seeing many PC games on the shelf at your local Gamestop you may try asking the people that work there, I find they have most of their PC selection in the back room.

Q: How do I know what hardware (system requirements) I need to play a specific game?

A: If you are wondering if you have enough power to play a specific game it can almost always be found somewhere on the box. I have posted some examples of different places the requirements will be. They will almost always be in a specific area  labeled "System requirements."

If you have a game that is not in the original box you can find the system requirements in websites such as www.wikipedia.org. The following pictures are an example of how you would find the system requirements using the video game BioShock.
